Not Everybody Gets into the Halloween Spirit

People with kids tend to celebrate Halloween more than people without kids, I supsect. And even if you don't have kids of your own, you still have nieces and nephews and maybe even your next-door neighbor kids or kids at places where you volunteer to spend time with on Halloween.

Most of us, when we reach a certain age, don't necessarily attend Halloween parties, but that doesn't mean you have to end up hungover and sleeping in the bathtub. There are other options for a party. You can read more about this in my personal blog today at this link: If You're a Halloween Party Pooper, Come Sit Down Next to Me.

The Trouble With Sacramento Fixers and a Short Sale
Fixers in Sacramento are not for everybody. In fact, few ordinary first-time home buyers want to touch a fixer home in Sacramento. They don't know anything about fixing up homes and don't want to. The buyers for damaged homes are investors. And we… more
Not Every Nationstar Short Involves an Auction
The biggest problem with Nationstar short sales is they don't seem to want to participate in the HAFA short sale program, and probably the reason they don't do it is because they can make a lot more money by doing the auction scenario. I mean, they… more
Have You Received a Hacked Email from DocuSign?
It seems like you can't turn around anymore without hearing about cyber attacks and compromised databases, and nobody is immune. Not the I. R. S., not Sony, not Home Depot and not you. It's not a question of how some hacker will obtain your sensitive… more
An Evening With The Zombies in Sacramento
As we were standing outside of the Crest Theatre last night, waiting to be allowed inside for the soundcheck and meet-and-greet with The Zombies, I received a phone call from a representative of the Mill at Broadway to thank me for my blog about the… more
An Evening in Land Park at The Mill at Broadway
The most exciting thing to happen in Land Park lately, apart from tearing up the streets to install new sewer lines, is The Mill at Broadway. This is a new infill project featuring affordable homes for millennials and empty nesters. It's not just a… more
When a Home in Sacramento Takes Longer Than Usual to Sell
Never once did my seller ask me to stop sending her feedback on home showings over the four months it took to finally sell her home, regardless of how discouraging. It was fairly apparent her home was unique, which meant it would appeal to a smaller… more
Hey I Said We Were Sending an Offer for that Home in Carmichael
I'm not certain if this was the same Carmichael agent who had to call back three times during a phone conversation on Wednesday in order to take "very important" calls or whatever, but it could have been. I received a text right around… more
Hanging Up to Take Another Phone Call
Generally when I spot a call coming in on my cellphone, providing I have the phone within my sight because I wear a bluetooth most of the day, I often will send a custom templated text message to the caller if I am not available to answer the call… more
When Sacramento Sellers Have No Place to Move
When I take a listing, I am always concerned with where the sellers will move. Unless they specifically request a rent-back or we've negotiated a hold over for a few days, most sellers need to be out of the property by 6 PM on the day we close in… more
