The Hawaiian Islands Do Not Talk to Everybody

When I spent 6 weeks last winter in Kailua-Kona, I talked with a lot of people on the Big Island. They say the islands talk to you, and the Big Island, in particular, seems to speak to men more than women. Which is really unusual because my husband doesn't much care for the Hawaiian Islands. I'm the person Pele speaks to.

However, nobody I invited to Hawaii wants to go. My assistant said she doesn't want to work while she is there and she has no one to replace her. My point is she has to work anyway, why not there? To each his own, though. There will be other trips.

Why Are Those Resist Billboards Throughout Sacramento?
The Sacramento Bee has a story in the local section this morning about dating and how some online profiles say if you're a Trump supporter, swipe left (instead of right, because right means you want to hook up). Of course, the reporter also… more
Einstein Rejected Quantum Entanglement as Impossible
Quite a few of my discussions with buyer's agents in Sacramento follow the same type of protocol. They talk, I speak, and then they go off on some tangent that shows they did not hear a word I said. Like the guy who called to pitch a lowball offer… more

When You Know Too Much About Entertainment
Sometimes statistics are analyzed to death and in doing so, say in movies, the purveyors of entertainment often remove the very essence of what makes shows entertaining to start with. The freshness, the newness, the ingenunity and creative… more
Franklin Crossing Homes in Elk Grove Last Built 2015

When an Elk Grove Buyer Won't Remove Appraisal Contingency
Selling homes in Elk Grove, or anywhere, for that matter, is all about compromise. It's not about being a bulldozer, as satisfying as that approach can be. It's about give and take. But don't make the mistake that compromise means 50 / 50 because it… more
