Elizabeth Weintraub • Sacramento Real Estate Agent

Where is the Office of Your Sacramento Realtor?

Fortunately, for this Sacramento Realtor, my company, Lyon Real Estate, maintains 17 offices throughout the Sacramento region, so I can pop in to meet clients at any of them. However, I imagine in the next decade all of that will or probably should change. Brick and mortar is so 2005. At least not the size and scope we have in operation today. Who needs all of that empty space?

IIRC, I last met face-to-face with a potential client, a seller, in my Elk Grove office maybe two years ago. For me, when listing homes, I just go to their house. I can see buyer's agents needing a private space to vet clients, present stats, review the process, but not their own desk.

And, as you know with me, it makes no difference whether I'm in Sacramento or in Hawaii when I am working with my sellers. The proof is in my performance and 5-star reviews. You can read more in my personal blog today at this link: Where Does Your Sacramento Realtor Really Work?

Do You Sell Real Estate Outside of Your Area?
One of the reasons I love working with out-of-area agents is because I know how to make the process easy for them, and they aren't much trouble. Other agents in Sacramento have told me they do not like that interaction one little bit. We get a lot… more
People Who Make an Appointment and Fail to Show
My friend in Denver, Joan Cox, wrote a blog about waiting for people. Interesting, I thought, about how long some people will wait and how impatient others are. We all have our own set tolerances. What I find irritating, though, is when people make… more
Consider Protecting Mono Lake as a Charitable Donation
My brokerage, in an attempt to appear more human and caring, I imagine, started setting up the Lyon Cares program, which donates funds to charities, right after a company-wide fiasco happened that threatened our very framework. I'm not saying it's… more
Can a Seller Refuse an Accepted Counter Offer?
An agent in a bit of confusion yesterday left a voice mail to ask how a seller can refuse to accept their counter offer after the buyer signed it and sent it back. Like with anything in Sacramento real estate, the devil is in the details. It all… more
Quitting a Second Job Should Not Be So Hard
Quitting a second job should not be so hard. But it's old habits. Hard to let go of. Not to mention, there is a certain amount of enjoyment and reward from my second job. Oh, you didn't know I had a second job? Well, not everybody realizes a top… more
How Do You Feel About Agents Who Don't Pick Up Calls?
I cannot begin to tell you how many clients, as well as other agents, who compliment me because I answer my phone. Which means other agents do not. To me, that is like complimenting me on the color of my eyes, which I can't do anything about. My… more
What Does it Mean to Offer Full-Service in Real Estate?
For some agents, offering full-service in Sacramento real estate means picking up sellers at the airport. That's not an act that is a good use of my time. If a seller really asked me to do that, and not one has, I would arrange for a cab. Notice I… more
My Last 3 Weeks in Hawaii Were Very Productive
