Oh, they may look like sweet little innocents, but that one on the left, that Pia, she chewed through the charger cable for my Jawbone Bluetooth. Every time I plugged it in to my computer, I received an advisory message that said my HUB device was using too much power and would be disconnected. I suspect she chewed right through the wires and crossed them, so no amount of electrical tape is going to fix that.
As a result, I have discovered there is no place in Sacramento to buy a new charger cable without buying a totally new Jawbone. So, I ordered it online, and it won't arrive until sometime next week. See, this is the thing about using an earpiece. Once you get used to it, you can't go back to the old-fashioned way of actually, ugh, holding the cellphone to your ear. Fortunately, I didn't yet recycle my old Motorola H700, so I dusted it off.
I was wearing my Motorola earpiece yesterday at a house warming party for clients who bought sometime back in August. The Motorola is pretty small and barely noticeable on my ear. In the middle of popping a black olive into my mouth, my phone rang, so I dashed out to the front yard to talk. The caller wanted to talk about putting her home on the market as a short sale but was worried the bank would take her savings account. I asked her how much was in her account. A few thousand.
"That's not ENOUGH," I replied, just as a couple of guests were walking up the sidewalk. One of them was holding a bottle of wine with a big red bow attached to it. She spun around on her heels and stared at me in horror.
"You mean I have to go back and get MORE?" She asked incredulously. "I thought I brought enough!"
You can't make up these moments. LOL.
