Here is what Melody Botting has to say on the subject: >>The rules of this MeMe is to ask for one gift you want that doesn't make you sound like you are trying to win a pageant or gain favor with Nelson Mandela. You have to be completely materialistic then name five more people you would like to torture.
What I would really like is the ass and abs I had not so long ago. Those can be purchased these days, you know. My husband thinks it is ridiculous to spend money on those things when you can just simply get off your ass to obtain them. Perhaps this will be a New Years resolution. (No one ever makes that one so I will be unique).<<
So here is what I will do for you Melody. I will accept your challenge to write this post but I am not going to torture anyone else. Instead, I'll let you guess what I would like, and those who get it right can consider themselves tagged to write the next MeMe.
The one thing I would like for Christmas or Hannukah that is materialistic is an item most people either love or hate. I'm afraid that although it would fit in my back yard, I might have to remove my overhead DSL line to operate it, which will never do -- not to mention, all the neighborhood kids would be over here banging on my door day in and day out. And I'm a little concerned that with all the rain we get in Sacramento over the winter it may rust.
Most likely Sacramento's summer heat would make it a bit uncomfortable to plant certain parts of one's anatomy on it. It would cause us to install solar panels, too, because it's probably expensive to run. However, I could watch the riverboats cruise up and down the Sacramento River and catch a glimpse every so often of the giraffes at the Land Park Zoo. It would be great to own as a stress-reliever mechanism.
