Are Sacramento Short Sale Sellers More Grateful Than Regular Sellers?

Are short sale clients more grateful than sellers with equity in Sacramento? I do the same job for sellers who have equity as I do for sellers of short sales. Meaning I get the highest price possible in the shortest period of time with the least amount of hassle for the seller, and I close the transaction.

While many of my regular sellers are happy enough to send flowers, my short sale sellers are often much more demonstrative. They write warm and glowing reviews online, and they send personal thank you notes. I can say this until the cows come home and people rarely want to believe me, but it's helping other people that makes my job as a Sacramento short sale agent so worthwhile. Because it certainly isn't the headaches, challenges and stumbling blocks I run into along the way.

It's about making a difference in somebody else's life. It's one of the reasons many of us are in real estate. I know it sounds hokey and canned but it's true. There are those of us who are all about the money and it shows. There are those of us who don't give a hoot about the money and it shows. And there are those of us who manage to balance success with caring about our clients.

Honestly, I don't know how an agent can be in real estate and not care about other people. It's sort of second nature, and it comes with the job. If you put your seller first, you end up caring about your seller, too. And you know we have to put our clients first, above ourselves. It's required. You've got to look out for their best interests and hope to god that you've correctly ascertained what those interests are.

My reward, as it may be at the end of the day, is my client's happiness. It's receiving the affirmation that I've done a good job. Accomplished the goals set forth for me. For my short sale sellers, it's helping them to move on with their lives by lifting that albatross around their necks. I can't think of any other more rewarding profession.
