How Bad Can Tendonitis Get?

You may have noticed I have not written for a while. Maybe not. However, I am proof that tendonitis can be so bad I can't type or write or do anything, really, with my right arm and hand. Good thing I am not a guy, LOL, if you get my drift.  I have to type only with my left hand. My friend Linda (in the collage) broke her arm in a nasty accident; we are a sorry pair.

My physical therapist says it will take at least a month to fix. So this is all you get. I will be back.

What Happens After Tossing an Orchid in a Hibscus Tree

When we bought our house in Hawaii, the former sellers rented back from us for 18 months. So, I got to know them fairly well. They also moved temporarily across the street one December just so I could stay in our house. Super nice people from… more
My Personal Quest to Find Yoga for Old People

When I showed up for my first (and probably last) vinyasa class, I wasn't dressed appropriately. They also did not like my Target yoga mat because it had a bit of padding. Plus, everybody seemed to be covering up their mat with what looked like a… more
The Town of Borrego Springs is 2 Hours from San Diego

Borrego Springs might be 90 miles or so from San Diego but the winding roads make the trek at least a two-hour drive. Fortunately, it involves driving through beautiful country with fabulous scenery such as rolling majestic hills morphing into… more
What is So Interesting About Clark Dry Lake?

When I spotted this lake in the distance, I insisted we drive as close as we could get. Good thing we had rented a Buick Enclave, which pretty much goes anywhere. My husband seemed a bit uncomfortable driving into the washes but then he has never… more
Photos of Anza Borrego State Park Visitor's Center

The first day we arrived in Borrego Springs, we tried to visit the Anza Borrego State Park Visitor's Center to no avail. Because it was a Sunday. That place was packed without any spare parking places. Bumper-to-bumper cars and traffic in this… more
A Moderate Palm Canyon Hike at the Borrego Desert

This is an excellent example of tectonic plate thrusts in Anza Borrego State Park, and you will find this scene shortly after passing the trailhead for the Palm Canyon Hike. It's a 3-mile hike roundtrip. But much of it is not on a flat sandy path… more
The Badlands of Southern California at Fonts Point

Because I had researched some of the fabulous places to visit in Borrego Springs beforehand, I already had a somewhat agenda by the time we arrived. Whereas my husband's plan was to ask the park ranger for the up-to-date interesting places to go to… more
Sunday Funday with Ziggy and the Talking Hamster

Well, maybe it's a hamster. Maybe it's a chipmunk. Hard to say. But Ziggy has a new toy that had been smushed into the bookshelves among my dozens of real estate awards. I found it yesterday while cleaning out the shelves and trying to rearrange… more
Hawaiian Airlines Makes Trip to Sacramento More Bearable

This photo is of the newly remodeled A330 First Class section on Hawaiian Airlines. Surprised me because I wasn't expecting it. Generally, it's one of the older models I hop aboard in Honolulu. The new remodel places pods, in groups of 2, three… more
