I had this feeling yesterday that if I had insisted on bringing home two kittens instead of just one, my husband was at a weak point in his conviction. He insists that our maximum cat numbers cannot exceed three. They were THAT cute.
But when we paused to consider, it wouldn't make sense. Besides adding a third cat to our house, we also need the new addition to blend well into our existing family. We have Jackson, the Flamepoint Ragdoll, with such a sensitive disposition. He is so sensitive that if we moved a chair, we would have ruined his entire life.
Then there is Tessa, a bit high strung, tad hyper, very demanding, and even though she is the youngest, she runs the house. If Tessa ain't happy, nobody is happy. Can't have two small kittens because they'll bond with each other. We want the new kitten to bond with Tessa and help her relieve some of that energy. Jackson doesn't usually want to play with her.
