Yamashiro Restaurant Worth Visit for the History

When I asked Endre Barath, Jr. if he had any restaurant suggestions in Hollywood, he gave me two tourist places to go, one of which was Yamashiro. I was actually searching for fine dining, creative presentations, wine pairings, tasting menus, cutting edge approaches.

But Endre said Yamashiro was good for the views. I thought, sure, brunch. He was absolutely correct about that. Spectacular views.

The Alaskan king crab legs were tasty, but they were a bit thin. The chilled jumbo shrimp on ice was fantastic but it's hard to screw up shrimp. Desserts were unimaginable and bleh.

The restaurant was more interesting than the food. Although they were preparing for a big celebration of sorts. Not a wedding, it was more of a cannabis convention, according to the signs.

You can see a bunch more photographs and read more about this fascinating place in my personal blog today at this link: Yamashiro Restaurant Offers Splendid Views of Los Angeles.
