The Story of Buying a New Car for My Husband

I wonder how many people who have to buy a new car count among the suicides you read about? If I were a depressed person, buying a new car might be enough to push me over that edge -- which is not to downplay the seriousness of those who commit suicide and the pain it brings to their families. However, to say it was a horrible experience is putting it lightly, and you know I never put anything lightly if I can use a bit of humor to illustrate in vivid technocolor how awful it really was to buy a new car for my husband.

My husband could not go to just any Toyota dealer in Sacramento. In fact, we had to drive to Placerville in El Dorado County.

We had a set price that was already guaranteed walking into the situation, so it wasn't like the negotiations were involved or complicated. Five hours we were there. You can read more about this in my personal blog today at this link, how Buying a New Car in Sacramento is Like Burning in Hell.
