I have not been tracking how many short sales I have sold since 2006, but I do track short sales on my website starting in January of 2010. These are just the short sales in which this Sacramento real estate agent represents the seller, I believe. I don't think I've got very many buyers in that mix unless I ended up representing both sides, which can happen when short sales blow up. Buyers get weird, demand repairs, want price reductions or they just become unmanageable for their buyer's agents, so I find the buyer myself and refer them to a team member.
Tracking just the last 34 months, I have closed over 250 short sales. That's a lot of short sales, and it doesn't count my regular transactions, which I also sell. I don't know of any short sale agent in Sacramento who can claim that. It's a milestone of sorts. Sort of like Myrl Jeffcoat's milestone today of reaching a million points through Active Rain. The one that probably pushed me over the top was a short sale in Woodland that I started when I was on vacation in Hilton Head last spring.
