This Big Island Beach is Like Being at a Lake

When househunting a few years back, Hella and I had stopped near Manini Beach but not at that particular spot. We had encountered the guys renting kayaks around the bend from this beach. It is a little hard to find if you don't know where it is. Tucked away off a street from Napoopoo, but I included pretty good directions in my blog in case you want to go.

Anita and I yesterday had first talked about paddle boarding but the water was not cooperating and a breeze was picking up. As an alternative, we decided to go snorkeling at Manini Beach. Except we did not end up getting into the water, LOL. You can read more in my personal blog at this link: Photos of Manini Beach at Honaunau.

It just isn't Christmas Eve in Kailua-Kona unless you can go snorkeling at Two-Step Beach and stop at The Coffee Shack along the way. At least that was the plan we had in the works for yesterday. We left Kona much later than we intended because my… more
