Talk about views. The sellers of this Natomas short sale home enjoy tremendous views of the Coastal Range, and there are empty lots all around. Some day builders will resume construction in this part of Natomas, but it's unlikely to happen for a while.
This Hampton's Village home was built by KB Homes in 2007. At the time, the sellers were expecting a park and more homes to go up across the street, but that vision did not materialize. As a result, there are few neighbors and an unobstructed view to the west.
The first floor is pretty much an open floor plan, with a tiled entry, family / dining / kitchen. You'll also find plantation shutters throughout, an attached 2-car garage, separate laundry room and guest bath. Go up the stairs and you'll enter a loft area, presently used as a children's play area, which leads to Jack-and-Jill bedrooms, plus a master suite at the far end.
It's a 3- to 4-bedroom, 3-bath, boasting 1,733 square feet, per the assessor. The patio is stamped concrete, and the sellers have drawn plans that call for turning that space into an outside oasis.

You are making it just too easy to move to California 'Lizabeth ! Now...about that earthquake insurance...and then we're there !
What earthquake insurance, Sally? We don't really have earthquakes in Sacramento as they generally occur in the Bay area or the Sierra. Now, if you want to talk about flood insurance, that's another story.
Elizabeth: I am such a sucker for a kitchen with a nice island. And I like the name of the street. Kankakee. That's a lot of K's in one word, but makes it fun to say. Bet you can't say, "I live on Kankakee Drive," without smiling.
Elizabeth,
the way you guys are betting on the short sales, I would not be surprised that David & Sally may find it a bit ... less affordable (LOL).
Ah ha, so you are more like Florida, no earthquakes but floods?
Kakakee I would still say without a smile. I had more difficult time saying Kissimmee without a smile, until I got used to and it not longer sounded like "Kiss Me" (another LOL)
How do you get so many nice looking listings it seems like my short sale need help.
